About BaBiBa

I was born in a small town some time ago, grew up in a medium-sized city, studied in a big city, and then moved to Bali, returning to a small town to raise a family and start a small business. I explore my freedom and follow my own creative path. I walk outside the footsteps of my ancestors, embracing a completely new culture and way of life. My eyes, ears, and mind are curious and ask questions, and I make my own mark using mixed media to present my vision in a way that reflects a unique perspective on the Island of the Gods, Bali. Drawing found me when I was a child. Using different art supplies and moods, I paint, draw, colour, cut, stamp, and more, satisfying my curiosity about the mind and my internal experience. Every piece is an image that grows with me, inspired by my surroundings, thoughts, a person, fabric, nature, a pattern or a book. I love the process of creating, and for me, this process is very private and precious. I hold onto each piece for a period before letting it go, creating space for new works.
